The Evli Growth Partners team is excited to get Juuso onboard as an Associate Partner. At EGP, Juuso will be responsible for sourcing and leading new investments as well as supporting our founders in the portfolio.Having spent over 5 years as a VC in the Nordic ecosystem and a couple of more in startups, Slush and Startup Sauna, Juuso is bringing a great set of expertise and connections to the fund from both sides of the table.
Juuso is a great addition to our team. He possesses excellent and relevant experience both from earlier stages of funds and startups. He has done very well in his previous successful fund commitments and, in addition, we share common history from the early years of Startup Sauna. Great to have a yet another great talent in our team! -Riku Asikainen, Managing Partner
While originally from Finland, currently Juuso is calling Copenhagen his hometown, as he has spent the (soon) last three years at the investment team of byFounders focusing on pre-seed and seed stage investments. During this time, he has led investments in Lucinity, Bob W., and Stealth Black, among others. Before Copenhagen, Juuso started his VC career at OpenOcean, looking primarily at B2B software companies across Europe.
I’m feeling very excited to join the investment team at EGP. I think they are off to a good start with their first fund, and I’m eager to see how much further we can develop the fund in the coming years. The past five years have taught me that I want to continue meeting and working with passionate founders – and the Nordics are one of the best places to do that!
When Juuso is not spending time with the team or founders, you can probably find him brewing a cup of coffee, pouring a glass of wine, or running along the canals of Copenhagen. Down the road, his ultimate dream is to open the first three-star Michelin restaurant in Finland.
Juuso is always ready to meet entrepreneurs over video or coffee (if in Copenhagen). Don’t hesitate to ping him at juuso.koskinen@evli.com.

In 2009, the future of Rovio was at stake. With bankruptcy looming as a distinct possibility, there were only two choices left: succumb to failure or chart a new, unforeseen course – with a sprinkle of luck.
